i'm gonna take these cookies to fuel my next AI purge. thanks! Theonethatknowsyouripaddress (talk) 10:34, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
No problem :) Not sure if you're already aware, but we have a WikiProject dedicated to cleaning up AI output that might be of interest? Toast of Fatetalk to me! 22:02, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
i'm actually in it. Theonethatknowsyouripaddress (talk) 22:10, 3 April 2026 (UTC)

Username concern

Hi. Would you consider changing your username? I am concerned that it falls afoul of WP:MISLEADNAME, as it implies to all (but especially new users who don't know any better) that you know and may weaponize personally identifying information. Ed [talk] [OMT] 16:37, 3 April 2026 (UTC)

...
it's a satirical name. I don't know how to change it. Theonethatknowsyouripaddress (talk) 16:40, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
You'd make a request at WP:CHU. Ed [talk] [OMT] 17:56, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
either way, my user page explicitly states that my username is a joke, and so does this talk page. Theonethatknowsyouripaddress (talk) 17:57, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
WP:IU doesn't say that you can keep a username if you have a note in your userspace. Let me know if you'd like me to take this to WP:RFCN. Ed [talk] [OMT] 19:43, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
Separately, you should also remove the Morse code from your userpage (the text as translated violates WP:UPNOT). Have to say that this is all real weird stuff for someone with under a hundred edits. Ed [talk] [OMT] 19:48, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for removing the Morse code. I've started a discussion about your username at Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/User_names#Theonethatknowsyouripaddress. Ed [talk] [OMT] 19:04, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
my username is updated. this problem is fixed. yippee One Reaction. Got a complaint? 11:39, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Your account has been blocked indefinitely because your username is a clear violation of Wikipedia's username policy – it is obviously offensive, profane, violent, threatening, sexually explicit, disruptive, attacks or impersonates another person, or suggests that you do not intend to contribute positively to Wikipedia. Please see our blocking and username policies for more information.

We invite everyone to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but users are not allowed to edit with accounts that have inappropriate usernames, and we do not tolerate 'bad faith' editing such as trolling or other disruptive behavior. If you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, or would otherwise like to explain why you should be unblocked, you are welcome to appeal this block – read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the following text to the bottom of your user talk page: {{unblock-un|new username|your reason here ~~~~}}. 331dot (talk) 23:04, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Blocking as the username suggests it has permissions you don't have(per WP:RFCU). May be unblocked once you propose an acceptable new username. 331dot (talk) 23:05, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Sadly I actually do not have an email address attached to this account, and I forgot my password. The simple request doesn't seem to have a clear way to change it either. Now what? Theonethatdoesntknowyouripaddress (talk) 18:49, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
nevermind, I got it Theonethatdoesntknowyouripaddress (talk) 18:59, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
i've submitted a request to change my username to my reddit username (that account was falsely flagged for ban evasion). let's hope this works, I really liked being able to edit User blocked. See his talk page for why. 19:24, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Rename completed. Unblocking accordingly. Courtesy ping to @331dot. Mfield (Oi!) 00:21, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Internet culture. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Specifically, you replaced what you said is AI text with the {{lorem ipsum}} temoplate which generates filler text. ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 19:11, 15 April 2026 (UTC)

I've also reverted your edits to Internet in the Republic of Ireland and History of anthropology by country for the same reason. ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 19:22, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
just so you know, I am only trying to help remove AI from Wikipedia. The paragraphs that were removed or replaced were suspiciously AI-sounding. This is meant to help uphold Wikipedia's policy. I'm sorry if I accidentally fell into disruptive editing. One Reaction was here. Got a complaint? 19:28, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Also, please add a new topic to tell me this. One Reaction was here. Got a complaint? 19:29, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
Removing AI is helpful, but please don't add templates like Lorem ipsum to mainspace, it comes across as subtle vandalism especially with edit summaries that mention removing AI. We have other templates like {{Empty section}} for example that are meant for mainspace. Twinkle added the topic for me, and it defaults to the same heading that the discussion of your username ban was under. ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 19:33, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
I see. Embarrasingly, I did not know there was a template for that other than Lorem Ispum. I am very sorry, but please know I tried to edit in good faith.
FYI, the policy about vandalism does say "Any good faith effort to improve the encyclopedia is not vandalism, even if misguided, willfully against consensus, or disruptive.". I hope you understand I was trying to help. One Reaction was here. Got a complaint? 19:41, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
I trust that you are trying to help (especially based on your engagement here), but I hope you can also see how the edits came across to me as a subtle form of vandalism (the lorem ipsum template is fairly obscure and not used often). Happy editing! ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 19:49, 15 April 2026 (UTC)
alright. One Reaction was here. Got a complaint? 09:35, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
