Article about Theresa Anne "Terry" Ferguson.

Hi, I notice you recently created an article named Theresa Anne "Terry" Ferguson. Articles that bear the names of people are usually considered biographies according to Wikipedia's naming conventions. Usually such articles have have titles in the form of <First name> <Last name>. Including a nickname in the title is not recommended as quotation marks in titles should be avoided, if possible. Since this is the first article you have created from scratch, I thought you should know that another user has now moved the article to the title Theresa Ferguson, as there is already an article about a different person called Terry Ferguson. What is happening is a combination of disambiguating article titles naturally and making the title more concise and precise, on the assumption that this article is going to be a biography. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 02:57, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome, and sorry for getting the title wrong the first time I did a biography - I know how to do it now :D PaleFury (talk) 07:06, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
No worries about the title; a lot of articles start off with quoted nicknames in the title because that is the naming format that sources sometimes use. Somebody else boldly changed the title, but didn't explain why it needed changing. As a new user, I thought you needed to have some pointers to Wikipedia's guidelines about naming articles. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 17:51, 25 January 2026 (UTC)

Catching Evil moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Catching Evil. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and relies solely on self published sources. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. CONFUSED SPIRIT(Thilio).Talk 09:10, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

Ah, sorry, didn't even know about drafts - still learning PaleFury (talk) 19:54, 3 February 2026 (UTC)

Victims of crimes

Hi, just to make you aware of WP:1E for the articles you created who are victims of crimes. They do not need meet the notability criteria and will probably be deleted when another editor picks it up. Extreme part-timer here so I am not gonna bother, but just to make sure you're aware so you don't waste too much time on these. Solipsism 101 (talk) 07:23, 7 February 2026 (UTC)

thanks for the heads up - I am very much a noob PaleFury (talk) 01:28, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Catching Evil (February 9)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by OrangeWaylon was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of films). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Kia ora Hello @OrangeWaylon, I am pretty new to writing wiki articles and was wondering if I could get more specific advice on this article and at what point it will be suitable for publication.
Most episodes of the podcast appear to have an accompanying article in the news media by a different author to the podcast hosts and as "exclusives" (which i think would be considered independent - but please let me know if these would not be?) some of which have been further picked up by other news media outlets in Australia, New Zealand and USA. Generally I have cited the first version (from news.com.au) rather than later republications of the same article on other news sites. I have been continuing to add these as the podcast episodes come out and accompanying exclusives.
I have also recently referenced a news article that talks about the initial success of the podcast, and the interest of US authorities in discussions with the podcast investigators.
This podcast is still being released weekly so more content to this page is to come.
What would be helpful for me as a newbie is how much coverage is considered "significant" and how close this article is to reaching this threshold. I don't want to keep submitting it if I still have a lot of work to do, and waste other peoples time.
I would appreciate any feedback you could provide to improve my understanding
Draft:Catching Evil
Ngā mihi nui Thanks very much

Hi Amy, if you could get three articles that spend most of their time talking about the podcast and not something else, that'd probably be just fine. OrangeWaylon (talk) 03:25, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
