Wofai Samuel

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia (though I am guessing you've probably been editing a while under an IP address). Thanks for your edits on the Wofai Samuel which was overdue a WP:TNT and just needed someone to take the initiative. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 13:54, 23 January 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback. I had been editing under bare IP. Patre23 (talk) 13:57, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello 160.152.157.153 (talk) 07:45, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
You have been Helpful with editing various pages and to protect the work that this platform does, you should be helpful with dismissing tags on people's pages once the issues are resolved, credibility sources are an example of resolved issues from the last edit you made, or is there something else I am missing? 160.152.157.153 (talk) 08:07, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello Patre23, I am hoping that your edits on pages are done out of good faith. A few questions requesting clarifications and honest feedback. The social service of the subject cannot be renamed to a subject matter that plays reference to the work done if the heading "Social Service" does not convey the true essence? That said, that particular section highlights appointed engagements by the USAID out of her home country, you think an institution and engagement as major as that should not be highlighted? A person's professional career is entirely different from their Non-Governmental Trajectory, thus, I am confident that your merging of both is totally out of place. 160.152.157.153 (talk) 07:56, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
On the Communications section which was renamed to conversations chaired, there were a number of very credible links to support those, from leading News Organizations across Nigeria, are you implying the News Organizations in the Country are not credible?
A person who is primarily known as a Communications Lead even before the current job of an acting director-general, you excluded the entire section detailing the work done as a communications lead not just in that country but across continents including europe for very major dialogues that shape the continent and you are personally implying that, those conferences chaired are promotional?
Is there no better way they can be phrased? Have you spent time researching those platforms including the Trade Actvity in Belarus? Well, I did. 160.152.157.153 (talk) 08:00, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
Promoting Trade Goals in the United States in a Trade Mission you have said sounds like a PR. MY question is, how can something as important and significant as that be excluded for an entity whose sole responsibility is advancing trade ties between both countries? I am happy to provide a thousand other pages who have mentioned very similar activities and no one could said such activities are trivial.
Your previous edits were mostly hinged on the fact that inexistent links were still seen on the page, with credible links from credible sources, with very very significant information about the subject's trajectory, is it enough to get expunged based off your perception that it is mere self praising? 160.152.157.153 (talk) 08:05, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
"Moderating conference is a routine job people preform always, it should not be listed here, Wikipedia is not a resume", you said this in one of your edits. In my opinion sounds as mere dismissal and trivializing of the engagements to make it look insignificant whereas these are dialogues from major organizations across the continent and internationally the subject has chaired have shaped many narratives of Africa, so why do you reduce them to mere statements of just any moderation? Are you also saying that getting listed as one of the 100 career women on the continent including the interviews on voice of america are trivial on a page of someone who is an important figure for US-Nigeria relations?
I look forward to these clarifications.
Thank you. 160.152.157.153 (talk) 08:17, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
Menahwile, when you talk about a person whose career highlights so much of trade, why is a mission t nigeria implemented by the subject for a state in america exlcuded?
If this is not a critical career information then what do you understand by a career trajectory? mentions of appointments?
Objective analysis expected from you with factual referrals where possible please. 160.152.157.153 (talk) 08:22, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
  • Greetings! In looking at Wofai Samuel, it looks like there is a content dispute between you and the IP editor(s) about the inclusion of the conversations chaired and non-governmental engagements sections. The way forward is to discuss this at Talk:Wofai Samuel and reach consensus about whether to delete the material or let it remain. Note that I have let the material remain, not because I feel it belongs in the article in the long run, but because it was in the article before this recent dispute started, so per WP:BRD, the article should be left in its pre-existing condition until a resolution is reached. —C.Fred (talk) 14:55, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
Hello, Thank you for your kind suggestion. I want to let you know that following your advise that this content dispute be discussed first at the article's talk page, I went to the talk page of the article and discovered that that conversation exists on the talk page about same issue of persistent highly promotional or advertorial contents being added to the article as far back as 2022. According to what I see at the article's talk page, some of the users that edited that article have been blocked for possible paid editing. At the talk page one of the editors boasted that its even an honour and a privilege for Wikipedia to host the article subject's biography. The article is completely what Wikipedia is not and I think guidelines should be enforced. Patre23 (talk) 10:37, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
Your arguments are quite disspointing Ptre, it almost comes across as though it is a vendetta and certainly not out of good faith on all the pages you edit.
You are making your facts based of occurences from three years ago in 2022? The essence of Wikipedia is to keep modifying existent pages whose information are meaningful until they are deemed at par with what is expected.
The issues from 2022 were long resolved, do nwell to refer to the communication and edits once again. please state your facts and points based off your actions in january 2025 and not the actions of others in 2022, blocked accounts and compalaints.
established in 2019, that page has gone through various reforms until present just like so many other pages.
You keep dismissing the exact question you are asked and keep talking about promotional content, if the content is promotional, edit the words to fit an un-promotional tone instead of delete.
For instance you question the article's notability with with a tag, were you paid to do so?
An Acting Director-General of an Organization that stands at the fore-front of trade at present between Nigeria and the United States, does not pass notability?
Your second tag of COI was resolved way back 2022, please check the records, why are you placing that again, who is the COI?
You other tag of lack of credible sources is totally false, please point to one credible source on the Article. I challenge you to do so now.
I do hope you do not go around doing the same to other pages, cause if a senior Administrator like Fred had not reviewed our arguments, you would have done way more actions without any tangible argument.
How do you respond to an administrator basing your argument from 2022? Please some pages and review for yourself the level of adjustments that have gone in. 160.152.13.164 (talk) 11:56, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

You were so quick to dismiss the page and its content, more than 15 edits in minutes but slow to respond to the questions raised with 2022 as your defence. Again, base your facts on the actions of January 2025 which you gave when you deleted the sections and added the tag. 160.152.119.101 (talk) 13:15, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

Prachantakhiri Khet Province moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Prachantakhiri Khet Province. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is a long, highly detailed article relying on just two pages of a single cited source and possible Original Research. As historical content it requires verifiable sources.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:14, 25 January 2025 (UTC)

Quick draftification: Draft:Vishal Thennarasu Kayalvizhi

Hello there, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! I wanted to reach out because I noticed your recent draftication of Draft:Vishal Thennarasu Kayalvizhi, which occurred 18 minutes after the article was last meaningfully edited. Per WP:DRAFTNO, articles shouldn't be draftified if they are actively being edited. In practice, this means articles shouldn't be draftified if they have been meaningfully edited in the past hour.

I understand and sympathize with wanting unsourced, promotional articles out of main space, but we also need to recognize that it can come across as bitey to draftify an article too quickly -- especially considering that articles in mainspace do not need to be complete, and editors are allowed to develop articles in the mainspace .

I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions. Take care, Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 07:47, 31 August 2025 (UTC)

Please use preview

If you are going to be accepting article for creation as you did with Lake Petersdorf you really need to do more research before you do. You introduced a number of errors with that page that had you used WP:PREVIEW to view the page would have easily been caught. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 15:34, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

(Draft:Steven Lee (optometrist))

Resubmitting after a substantial rewrite to address the prior concern that sources were company-centric and offered only trivial mentions. The draft now cites multiple independent, reliable secondary sources that provide significant coverage of Steven Lee as a person, not merely his companies, satisfying WP:GNG/WP:BIO: • Feature/analysis pieces that profile Lee’s role and quote him directly: Wired (Oct 12, 2015), Fast Company (Mar 20, 2014), TechCrunch (Jul 27, 2015), and an ABC News national segment (Aug 5, 2016). • Person-focused industry coverage: Vision Monday on Lee’s NBEO settlement (Aug 17, 2015). • Balanced, neutral treatment of regulatory history: FDA warning letter (2017; MARCS post 2018) and FDA 510(k) K220090 (Aug 2022) with secondary corroboration from MedTech Dive; product rebrand context from Review of Optometry (2018). • Recent third-party reporting on Lee’s current work at Zenni: 404 Media (Oct 27, 2025) and Techlicious (Oct 29, 2025) testing/assessing the IR-blocking “ID Guard” lens coating and identifying Lee by name.

I have trimmed promotional language, removed/limited primary and self-published sources to non-contentious facts, and reorganized the article into neutral, biographical sections (Early life and education; Career with Opternative/Visibly, Reception/Regulation, Litigation; Zenni Optical; Media; Service) with inline citations. In light of the added independent coverage and person-centric sourcing, I believe the subject now meets WP:GNG and WP:BIO. Kindly reconsider for acceptance. ~2025-32233-31 (talk) 03:25, 9 November 2025 (UTC)

about Draft:Hushmand Dehqan

Dear Patre23,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review my draft, Draft:Hushmand Dehqan, and for your feedback regarding the need for "significant coverage."

I wanted to provide additional context regarding the sourcing. I had previously submitted a similar draft under the name Houshmand Dehghan (which was subsequently deleted following an upset speedy deletion request from me). That draft contained about 14 references, including some from BBC News regarding his imprisonment (for his Baha'i faith) and detailed critiques of his translations.

Could I ask you to clarify or consider the following points based on the existing and previous references?

1. Academic Impact (The Handal Citation): The reference to Professor Boris Handal's book, “Quddús: First in Rank”, shows that Handal cites Dehqan's work 123 times and devotes several pages (pp. 26–28) to discussing Dehqan's historical views. Given that Handal is the first to publish a major English book on Quddús, does this extensive citation and focused discussion on Dehqan's expertise not constitute “significant impact” as per the Notability for Academics guideline (WP:ACADEMIC)? This suggests the “work itself” is foundational. 2. Cumulative Coverage: If a person is mentioned in several reliable, independent sources (e.g., BBC News, translation critiques, academic lists like Stephen Lambden's), even if each mention is brief, does the combined evidence not indicate sufficient coverage to meet the overall Notability Guideline, particularly when combined with the strong evidence of academic impact?

I understand that the guidelines require coverage of the person, not just their work. I would be grateful if you could consider whether the combination of “foundational academic use” and “reliable event-based news coverage” meets the necessary threshold.

Finally, regarding the deleted draft: I understand you may not have access to it, but if you do, I would appreciate a look to see if the combination of all 14 sources was sufficient to warrant recovery.

Thank you again for your time and expertise. Mojgoon (talk) 13:45, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
