LLM use question
Hi @PhnomPencil did you use LLMs to assist with this update to Prey Lang Wildlife Sanctuary? It has some signs of LLM-generated content, including reliance on attribution. It also triggered an edit filter designed to identify potential LLM assisted content. Btw, none of this is evidence of LLM use! So I am just asking. NicheSports (talk) 15:04, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi NicheSports, Thanks for asking, yes I used it for copyediting. Every source and claim is researched by me as I'm trying to improve my knowledge by writing on the subject; the LLM was used solely to improve the grammar and flow of the article. PhnomPencil (talk) 15:22, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Please refrain from making edits generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology) to Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Prey Lang Wildlife Sanctuary. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. —pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 04:04, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- If it was just for copyediting after I have already written the article, is it allowed though? I just used it to improve the flow. PhnomPencil (talk) 09:21, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
December 2025
Please stop. If you continue to unconstructively edit Wikipedia using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology), as you did at Pickering, Ontario, you may be blocked from editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:39, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
- Please accept my apologies. I was using it simply for copyediting my sentences as I lack confidence in my prose. I didn't know that using it this way was against the rules. I have only tried it for a couple edits, and will not do so again. PhnomPencil (talk) 05:57, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
