Kherson mistake

It seems you've accidentally turned back the clock and given Russia control of their territorial extent at the height of their control of Kherson. The template you edited is supposed to be the current positions  Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.167.108.109 (talk) 02:58, 22 February 2025 (UTC)

¿Physeters?

Hello @Physeters? I'm UnBGMmás, the one who was talking with you in the Russian occupation maps on Commons.

What's up with you not responding all this time?

I've seen that you've been editing Wikipedia recently, so you're active, but... have you grown tired of editing the old war maps, or don't you have time to edit them, or is it something else?

By the way, I hope your studies are going well.

I hope you reply to UnBGMmás (talk) 21:33, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Hi @UnBGMmás, I am terribly sorry for not replying to you (or, for that matter, anyone else) recently. It is not because you did anything wrong, but rather, it is because I am terribly embarrassed to speak to you again having not completed the Rivne Oblast map you requested so many months ago, combined with being very behind on updating all of the other maps. As you guessed, I've had little time to keep up the maps, and despite trying to get back into it multiple times (most recently a few weeks ago), I just haven't been able to do it. It's something I'm rather ashamed of, especially because I haven't been replying to people (like you) who have tried to reach out to me. I both don't want to say no to updating the maps, but also don't want to reply in the affirmative if I haven't done it yet, therefore, I haven't left any responses in months.
Right now, I am not in a place where I can commit a lot of time to updating the maps, in the Wikipedia edits I have done with links have been very small and spur of the moment, but if there is something you especially need updated, other than the main map, I can do it for you tonight. Again, I am very sorry for ghosting you for all these months, for still not having what you requested done, and for always seeming to have excuses. Hopefully, in the new year, I will be able to commit to the maps again like I used to, but I'm very doubtful I will be able to. Either way, I'll try not to leave people un-replied to again and at least give some kind of response. Physeters 00:20, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
Eyy @Physeters, you're alive!
I understand, but I want to tell you that there's nothing to be ashamed of. Your studies simply require a lot of effort and take up a good part of your time (just like they do for me and every other student who wants to pass their course or get good grades), so it's normal that you can't do anything on Wikipedia or Commons even if you want to with all your heart, even in your free time, because at the end of the day we're human and we also have our personal and family obligations that we can't just leave behind to edit on this website, so it's totally understandable and not shameful, because that's the reality.
The only mistake has been that you haven't been in touch during all this time, but now at least you've been able to reply to me and give me some context, which is more than enough.
Without further ado, I wish to you the best of luck and strength so that you can get through what you're studying at university.
(PS: There are more people willing to update the war maps from time to time and add or fix problems with them, so relaxx from this).
A huge hug from UnBGMmás (talk) 00:16, 26 November 2025 (UTC)
