Hello Rambling Rambler. I'm sorry that my citation was incorrect and didn't meet Wikipedia's standards. Could you please be a bit more specific and tell me exactly what I did wrong? Was it the type of source or the citation itself?
1RR on Hasan Piker
Hi! I just wanted to let you know, in case you're not aware, that the one-revert rule applies to Hasan Piker, which means you may not make more than one revert within 24 hours. (See the contentious topics warning at the top of Talk:Hasan Piker.) You seem to have accidentally broken that. Cadddr (talk) 21:11, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
A clue
The Template:Archive basics was already on EEng's talk page before this discussion began. ~2026-92659-0 (talk) 19:28, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- @~2026-92659-0 I've replied on the ANI thread. I was reading it after the close which stated EEng had now set up archiving to resolve the issue (which doesn't actually appear to be the case) so had read it as an auto-archiving implementation. Rambling Rambler (talk) 19:31, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks -- I am not sure I agree with you about what the correct outcome here is (actually I think the optimal outcome would be EEng recognizing the inconvenience their page is causing other people and deciding to do the gracious thing and implement auto-archiving), but definitely the closure is confusing/misleading. ~2026-92659-0 (talk) 19:40, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
- @~2026-92659-0 Looking at the near decade long history of this issue, it's clear EEng will not do this themselves unfortunately (and in fact takes pride in having a truly incomprehensible talk page). It's why I think there's been such a groundswell of "enough is enough" in that thread. Hopefully it's unclosed and automatic archiving is community-imposed because it's the only way I think things will stand to change. Rambling Rambler (talk) 19:42, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
