Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Child of deaf adult, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 16:27, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- Please read WP:V before removing a request for a citation. Sundayclose (talk) 16:29, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- In the edit summary, I asked exactly what needs to be cited about the claim. Can you help me out with the answer to that? Reneeofsunlight (talk) 16:32, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- The citation needed template was for the sentence preceding the template. You may think something is common, and I may think something is common, but fortunately Wikipedia is not written on the basis of our personal opinions. Did you bother to read WP:V as I requested? Sundayclose (talk) 16:35, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- You piped in, so I figured I could ask for your direct input before following any "requests," but in fact I have read not only that page but multiple others, including Wikipedia:You don't need to cite that the sky is blue. So can you please clarify for me what about that sentence needed to be cited? As I requested? Thank you. Reneeofsunlight (talk) 14:34, 24 November 2025 (UTC)
- like bud it was me reading the Verifiability page that led me to making the edit I made lmfao Reneeofsunlight (talk) 14:36, 24 November 2025 (UTC)

WP:BLUE is an essay, not a policy. WP:V is a core policy of Wikipedia. This needs to be cited to a reliable source, and your or my opinion is not a reliable source: "In addition, CODAs are often exposed to prejudice against their family. The isolation can deprive the child of normal social skills. Many people may assume that the entire family is deaf because they are all able to sign and communicate in this manner. Bystanders may make negative comments about the deaf community in that family's presence, not realizing the child can hear." Now, I've made myself as clear as is humanly possible. I'm finished here and removing your talk page from my watchlist. If you want to remove the maintenance template discuss on the article talk page and wait for consensus.
