Love Trilogy issues
Good afternoon! I tagged an article you created (Love Trilogy by bell hooks (books series)) as requiring some fairly substantial work in a number of areas to align with Wikipedia policies. First and foremost are issues with citations and what appears to be the inclusion of a substantial amount of original research. Please take a moment to review WP:NOR and WP:CITE. Uncited information or original research is subject to removal from any page. nf utvol (talk) 15:27, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! It may seem like it is original research but all "reviews" or critiques about the book are from other pieces written on the book. I simply just wrote main themes of what the overall opinion from other people think. If you have any ideas on how to approach the writing for the review section, I would be more than happy to get some help. Rjalloh (talk) 03:20, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
- Biggest concern is in the Overview sections of each of the books. The only sourcing is a reference to the books themselves, which would be considered a non-independent primary source. For instance, here, from Love Trilogy by bell hooks (books series)#All About Love: New Visions:
All About Love: New Visions was published in 2000 as one of hook's most notable reads. The book offers new ways to think about love in interpersonal relationships and public, day-to-day life.[1] The book has eleven chapters, each focusing on how love appears in that context. hooks also offer different definitions of love and provide ways to think about self-love and a combination of peace and compassion that is integral to how love is expressed personally and in the community.
These statements appear to be synthesizing information from the book, not re-statements of secondary sourcing discussing the book. As I noted above, I recommend reading WP:NOR.

- Other statements, such as
this book challenges sexist ways of thinking about the body and love in a literal and figurative sense
, appear to be pulled almost verbatim from quotations of the author in secondary sources. A better way to write this sentene would beAccording to one reviewer, the author claims that the book seeks to challenge sexist ideas about the body and love
, or something along those lines. There are a lot of interpretive statements in here that are written as factual information, but need clarification of who said it.
