- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

CS1 error on 2025 Bulgarian budget protests
Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page 2025 Bulgarian budget protests, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A bare URL and missing title error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 15:47, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
Minor edit
Hi, thanks for your helpful edits to Low emission buses in New York City - I've extended this edit to similar articles in London and Moscow.
However, please only tick the minor edit when there's a superficial difference – edits you've recently marked as minor have not been so. "A good rule of thumb is that edits consisting solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of the content should be flagged as minor edits". Thanks!

- I am somewhat new to editing wikipedia and didn't know that. Thank you so much for informing me. I'll keep it in mind next time. SashankInAnitquity (talk) 03:34, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

There was no vandalism. Aside from the ALS having its own article already. Your edits had too much similar tone to how news outlets write their pages.
Specifically:
"He suddenly became weak. He was complaining of difficulty breathing, then straight to [passing away], but he had long been telling stories that what would happen to him was inevitable because of his disability" said Philippine Para chess team head coach James Infiesto in an interview.
I agree with the other editor that this falls under WP:NOTNEWS, in the longer term we do not need dramatized account of the subject's last days. And how quotes are discouraged when things can be surmised by prose if ever neeeded. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:32, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- Oh im sorry I wasnt aware of what WP:NOTNEWS meant nor of any of the other tonal things you mentioned. Im still somewhat bad at editing. I hope it wasnt too much trouble. Feel free to revert my edits if you havent already. Sorry and thank you for informing :) Ill keep these things in mind for future edits. SashankInAnitquity (talk) 12:24, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
