If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Can you explain, in your own words, why your edits were promotional?
They weren't promotional. I was updating the page to keep it current with new business info as the HQ said we were in Venice, Italy when in reality we're in Venice, CA
What is your relationship with the subjects you have been editing about?

I want to update our location to reflect the real location so our info is consistent across the web
Is there anything else that may be helpful to your unblock request?
I also need to update the image that says "logo" as what is currently listed isn't the logo. I'm just trying to keep our profile up to date and get blocked for "promotional" edits...

I'm deeply skeptical as to if your company meets our definition of a notable company at all, though that's not relevant to your block. If you agree to make the Terms of Use required paid editing disclosure (once unblocked) and use the edit request process to propose edits on the talk page instead of making them yourself, I would remove the block. 331dot (talk) 16:12, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) As an editor with a clear conflict of interest, you should not be editing this article directly. Please familiarize yourself with the procedure to make edit requests. - Jauerback I have to agree with the editor that their edits were not promotional; in fact I am bewildered as to how you can have seen either of the edits as promotional. Can you explain? JBW (talk) 11:37, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed that those two edits themeselves may have not been promotional by any random user. However, when they are made by an account named "SonoSim Marketing" editing SonoSim, I view that as promotional. I have no problem if you disagree and want to unblock.
