Hi, I just noticed this has a {{being deleted}} since 2024. Is that still happening? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:57, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
- Hi MSGJ! It's still in the holding cell and I haven't seen any objections or DRV, so I guess so? I am also not aware of anyone taking on the challenge of replacing the last 900ish transclusions, since it requires individually deciding how to replace the project banner (Visual arts or physics or ...! Wow!
Hello, Plastikspork,
I was just doing my regular rounds and checked Broken Redirects and I wanted to thank you for taking care of all of those broken redirects. We don't have many administrators who regularly patrol TFDs and take care of the complicated closures that can result along with their aftermath so thank you for all of the time you spent today on several template discussions have closed involving COVID-19 from the past few years. It was hard to know in 2020 or 2019 how much information should be kept on pandemic data so it's only now that some decisions are being reassessed. Your work is much appreciated! Liz Read! Talk! 04:51, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
- And thank you Liz for all the work that you do! I missed a bunch when I closed some discussions last week, so I tried to be more careful this time! Thanks again! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 19:06, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for preemptively userfying the templates which I had previously shown interest in! I was about to request their userfication, citing a lack of notification and unfortunate fracturing of these COVID-19 template (there were A LOT after all...) TFDs, but you smartly made the right call and even saved extra work!
One question though, do you know for how long deleted pages stay in Wikipedia's database (thus for how long they're recoverable)? Just in case I missed other deletions in the past and have to do something about them soon... Alexis Coutinho (talk) 16:23, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- Alexis Coutinho, you are welcome! Deleted content stays in the database indefinitely, so there should be no deadline for asking for userfication. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 16:40, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- On a related note, with so many being move to userspace, is it possible to have the VTE links check if the template exists before generating redlinks? Not a big deal, but could be useful going forward. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 16:42, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- I'll take a look and try to make the links relative to the template itself. ;) Alexis Coutinho (talk) 17:18, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
Epps details
Maybe you could call or write Epps to see whether or not he's actually at the University of Oregon. Try this:

- Activist, per WP:BLPPRIVACY, we generally need a better source. He publicly released his birth year here, but I have not seen a place where he publicly released his birth day. If you have one that shows that he has publicly released his own birth day, please add that source. As for being at University of Oregon, that fact has been established in the opening paragraph. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 20:28, 22 February 2026 (UTC)
- Actually, his bio refers to his previous role at the U of O. You may be familiar with the word "previous, as opposed to say, "currently."
- As far as his birth year, what is the source given for that detail?
- It was added here, in 2008, unsourced, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Garrett_Epps&diff=next&oldid=203474133, by an IPN user.
- The alleged "fact" remains unsourced in Wikipedia.
- I supplied you with a source which you've rejected.
- You may also be aware of and the definition of the term, "apology." If not, I'd wager that you can look it up.
- Personally, my identity and activities have been infrequently misrepresented for many decades in "reliable sources." I don't think it happened deliberately. I could really give a shit though, and no harm was actually done.
