Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:TOP 1 Oil Products Company

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:TOP 1 Oil Products Company, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Block notice

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. Deb (talk) 18:21, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

You disclosed on the draft that you were paid by your employer to edit, but now you say you have no "personal, professional, or financial relationship" with them. Which is it? 331dot (talk) 11:28, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
- My earlier disclosure refers to being paid by my employer for general communications and research tasks. My employer is not TOP 1 Oil Products Company, and I have no personal, professional, or financial relationship with TOP 1 itself. I was asked by my employer to assist with drafting content related to a third party company owned by a family friend. I recognize that this still constitutes paid editing and a potential conflict of interest, which is why I disclosed it on the draft. Going forward, I understand the importance of full transparency and will strictly follow Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and neutral point of view guidelines. TOP1OILUSA (talk) 07:31, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- So you do have a professional relationship with TOP 1, your employer asked you to edit about them, it doesn't matter why they asked, or that your employer wants to use their resources to aid a friend. Once unblocked, you should disclose this relationship on your user talk page as well, for better visibility. You will need to name your employer as part of doing so.
- Please read WP:BOSS, and show it to your employer (and, ideally, TOP 1). The vast majority of companies on Earth do not meet our requirements to merit a Wikipedia article.
- Are there any edits you wish to make that are unrelated to a conflict of interest? 331dot (talk) 08:59, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- Yes, I do have a professional relationship in the sense that my employer asked me to help draft content about TOP 1 Oil Products Company, which is owned by a family friend. I understand that this constitutes paid editing and a conflict of interest, and I will fully disclose this relationship on my user talk page, including naming my employer, as suggested.
- My intention was not to bypass Wikipedia’s standards but to create a factual entry for a company that has existed since 1979, similar to other lubricant companies with Wikipedia articles, such as Motul and Amalie Oil Company. My employer and his friend believed it was reasonable for the company to have a presence due to its long-standing history and verifiable accomplishments.
- Once unblocked, I will revise the current draft to make it more neutral and properly sourced. TOP1OILUSA (talk) 09:38, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia articles do not merely provide facts, nor do they just document accomplishments; they summarize what independent reliable sources say about the topic. "Significant coverage" is critical analysis and commentary as to what independent sources view as important/significant/influential about the topic, not what it views as important about itself.
- That competitors have articles does not necessarily mean that TOP 1 should too; we judge each article or draft on their own merits and not based on the presence of other articles that themselves may be inappropriate and just not yet addressed by a volunteer. There are many ways inappropriate content can exist on Wikipedia, this cannot justify adding more. Wikipedia does not provide equal time to all companies in a field, it depends on the sources. 331dot (talk) 09:58, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for taking the time to explain this. I understand that Wikipedia relies on independent reliable sources and significant coverage, not just company-provided information. My goal is to ensure any content about TOP 1 is supported by independent sources and presented neutrally, and I will focus on meeting Wikipedia’s notability and verifiability standards if I am unblocked. - If unblocked, I will not directly edit the TOP 1 Oil article and will instead suggest changes on the Talk page supported by reliable sources. I am also interested in contributing to other topics of interest in the automotive industry and the culinary field. Assia.25 (talk) 14:03, 5 March 2026 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) Since there is currently no Wikipedia article on TOP 1 Oil, you are unable to

but rather create a draft from scratch—something extremely difficult and rarely successfully done. As others have said, the vast majority of companies do not meet Wikipedia's inclusion criteria (found at WP:NCORP). I encourage you to read WP:BOSS and show it to your boss. Would you be willing to completely stay away editing about TOP 1 Oil on Wikipedia, if unblocked, or are you still interested in writing about it? GoldRomean (talk) 16:01, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
