In addition to the other delights that a five-years'-old MRI scan of my spine showed, I now have a cyst pressing on lumbar/sacral nerve(s) in there, and am currently on 100 µg/hour Fentanyl patch, with Oramorph (morphine) top-ups of up to 20mg up to four-hourly … and the pain is still breaking through. Bummer. Losing muscle function in the muscles which support my right hip joint (which, with the Ehlers-Danlos and a back-history of multiple dislocations, etc. is very unstable), which means that the hip keeps sneaking out of its socket when I'm sitting down, which, in turn, stretches the sciatic nerve … and also the muscles which stabilise the last 2 bones of the coccyx (also with history of multiple dislocations) aren't functioning, which means that the tip of my tail keeps clunking out of place (and back), which sends a jolt back up through the spine and hammers the nerve again … . So I can't edit for longer than a couple of minutes at a time, as I can't sit for long. I am kinda around, but activity in here is likely to be very sporadic. I'll be reading far more than I write! I will keep tabs on my talk page, so please don't assume I've "disappeared"!
