Hi Nikkiamaria!
Thanks for your welcome, and for the helpful edits to the CASP entry I was working on. I'll have a closer look at your changes and figure out how to do better in future; I definitely had to to go back a few times to fix the formatting! TheScholemaster (talk) 04:52, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

The Government Inspector

re this edit:

The header you edited ==Other adaptations==<!-- This section is linked from Nikolai Gogol --> Meaning when you edit the header, you have to mnodify the link in Nikolai Gogol , becomes it becomes broken. This was done long time ago and now we have a better syntax to handle this: template:anchor. However in older texts the old was may e encountered.

See how it must look like:

in The Government Inspector : ==AdaptationsAdaptations==
in Nikolai Gogol: as incidental music to The Government Inspector

Also please see how in the second case the surprizing "easter egg" wikilink was fixed:

 • to The Government Inspector

In the old code it was

 • to The Government Inspector ,

which looks like "to The Government Inspector" and many readers will not bother to click "The Government Inspector" because it is not evident that it links to "Adaptations" (this wikilinking id called "easter egg" in Wikipedia). --Altenmann >talk 19:27, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Thanks for catching this, and for taking the time for lay out a clear explanation!
It was very much not obvious in making that edit to the header-- and I wouldn't have been able to edit Nikolai Gogol to address it, since the author's page is under extended confirmed protection. TheScholemaster (talk) 19:35, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
Apologies to lots of typos: I grew old and dyslexic :-) --Altenmann >talk 20:19, 17 February 2026 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gaggia, a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Glen was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 20:14, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
