Speedy deletion nomination of Fibrations of graphs

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Fibrations of graphs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - Hi Vigna, I wanted to add a bit to the generic message above. Based on your username, I'm assuming that you are the Sebastiano Vigna who holds the the copyright to the content at https://vigna.di.unimi.it/fibrations/. Wikipedia can only accpet content that is published under a compatible license, as described at Wikipedia:Copyrights. Because the info from your webpage is copyrighted, and not published under a CC BY-SA license or similar, we cannot publish it verbatim. If you would be interested in publishing that material under a free license so that it can be transferred to Wikipedia, let me know and I'll try to direct you to some resources to help with that. Zeibgeist (talk) 21:00, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- I already sent an email to permission-en. Is there any thing else I should do? Vigna (talk) 21:57, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- I can add a link to CC BY-SA or similar license to the original page, if that's simpler for you. Vigna (talk) 21:58, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- I linked a Creative Commons C0 (public domain) logo. Vigna (talk) 22:15, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- Pinging Justlettersandnumbers for visibility. Is this something you're able to assist with? Zeibgeist (talk) 23:54, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- Vigna, the page in question is still marked "©2026 Sebastiano Vigna. All rights reserved". Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't see how that is compatible with the CC0 statement in the page. If my understanding is correct, copyright is not retained under that licence, but is retained under a CC BY-SA 4.0 licence (which might for that reason be a preferable choice). If you could kindly sort out that apparent conflict, I'll be pleased to remove the blanking template from the article page. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:15, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, you're right—I forgot about the blurb at the bottom. I replaced the blurb with "The content of this website is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License", linked to CC BY-SA. Vigna (talk) 09:49, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
