Review of Beaulieu Park

Hi Wikieditor,

When reviewing good articles, please ensure that you do in a decent quality. When you reviewed Beaulieu Park station, I see that you failed me in 5/6 criteria. The stable criteria for GA states that it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. By hovering over [6], it says Edits that do not apply to the "stable" criterion include [...] good faith improvements to the page (such as copy editing) (emphasis added). Also, when reviewing GACR 1, please point out that it needs changing, or just say that you didn't found any problems for each section. Its very likely that my comment from your 61016 review caused you to review Beaulieu, and I obviously didn't request a review since it would be disruptive to fastrack my GAN.

Also, please do not make significant edits while a review is underway. Only some edits like fixing obvious typos, correcting punctuation marks are acceptable but beyond that, you have to make comments and let the nominator fix it. When you spot-check sources and found that problems are identified, instead of editing the article, leave comments and let the nominator fix it. Because you edited the page significantly, you cannot review Beaulieu again, (see WP:GAN/I#R2).

You can find examples of my reviews at User:JuniperChill#GA. Earlier, I saw that you had improper reviews. but at least this wasn't one of them. If you want more help in reviewing, you can reach out to me, one of the GA mentors, or at WT:GAN. JuniperChill (talk) 21:47, 29 October 2025 (UTC)

I now see that 10mmsocket has edited the article and disagrees with some of your edits, according to the page history. JuniperChill (talk) 21:52, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
TBH I think the review should be conducted by an experienced editor, not a relative novice. 10mmsocket (talk) 21:55, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
To sum things up and prevent confusion, I have went to the nominations tab its self, and have picked a random article, that coincidently was liked with my nomination. So from what you have said, any CE is good faith and should not be accounted for stable. Could you also give me a more detailed meaning for "5/6 criteria"? Wikiediter2029 (talk) 21:54, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
Can I suggest that you go look at a number of GAN reviews before trying to conduct your own? Your keenness and initiative are to be admired, but given that only a matter of weeks ago you were writing articles by copy/pasting from ChatGPT, I would respectfully suggest that you concentrate on writing content and improving content before trying something like this? 10mmsocket (talk) 21:57, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
The only time an article wouldn't satisfy GACR 5 is if the page was currently subject to an edit war or content dispute, or if its one of those articles like Hurricane Melissa (which would likely fail some of the other GACR anyway). What I mean by "5/6 criteria" is you would read it as "5 out of 6 criteria". I see that you're a relatively new editor; while there is no established criteria for reviewing GANs (other than requiring an account), you need to do so in a decent manner. I have renominated the article again. JuniperChill (talk) 22:10, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
I've picked up the review. Thanks for your efforts here Wikiediter, I understand the experience can be disheartening. It may be best to get some more experience with nominating good articles before you take up more reviewing, and when you're ready to jump back in, I can highly the WP:GAMENTOR program. Rollinginhisgrave (talk | edits) 22:52, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
Thank you Rollinginhisgrave for picking up the review within 30 mins of me nominating it. I was so surprised to see it being reviewed in a very short time, considering the backlog! JuniperChill (talk) 23:19, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
No worries, I don't really like seeing articles going back in the queue after reviews like this. Rollinginhisgrave (talk | edits) 00:00, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Template:User page Extended Protection Permission

Hi. The template you created {{User page Extended Protection Permission}} has a wording issue. I had nominated it for deletion, but withdrew that nom soon after, due to a misunderstanding on my part.

Do you mind if I modify the wording a bit?

Also note there is a similar, but more standard template {{User Wikipedia/Extended confirmed}} in case you're not aware. --DB1729talk 00:11, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

Hello, you are able to modify it. Wikiediter2029 (talk) 16:05, 4 November 2025 (UTC)
I changed "Extended Protection permissions" to "extended confirmed rights" and pointed the link to a better page, imo.
I considered moving the template to different title but figured the current name is a reasonable enough description. Take care and have a great rest of your day! DB1729talk 16:44, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

Trouted

a rainbow trout fish

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You have been trouted for:your addtition of {{more citations needed}.} to British Transport Police because it is not needed for entire article just {{mcn|section}.} BTW mcn is a shorter way to write more citations needed. congrats for getting extended confimed! Requested move closure

Hey mate, thank you for closing the long discussion of whether to move or not to move Typhoon Fung-wong (2025).

I just want to remind this though: when you make a non-admin closure (NAC), you should use the {{subst:RMnac}} template. This makes the formatting easier without requiring manual edits. In my point of view, you may have manually typed in the words you can visually see in other closed RM discussions. If it is true, then the next time you do this, follow the instructions in Template:RMnac, and that's all.

Best regards, EmperorChesser 12:16, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

Hiya!
Thanks for letting me know. Inside my sandbox, I have made a template I can copy and paste for future use. I am generally new to closing discussions. If possible, could you help and change https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Wikiediter2029/sandbox for the correct format?
Thanks! Wikiediter2029 (talk) 12:20, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
No problem! Just hold on a while, and I'll notice you when I'm finished. EmperorChesser 12:24, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
Alrighty, it's done. You can check out your sandbox now.
Happy editing! EmperorChesser 12:48, 22 November 2025 (UTC)

I have moved your new article to Draft:Emergency/non-emergency numbers in the UK. It is not ready for mainspace yet, and it is good practice to create drafts first instead of new articles. 10mmsocket (talk) 13:39, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Ed Sheeran Foundation moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Ed Sheeran Foundation. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has too many problems of language or grammar and it consists of machine-generated text. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. HurricaneZetaC 04:22, 11 December 2025 (UTC)

Hi W2029

I saw your comment on my friend Ipigott's page about a school. That school is partnering Bunda School. Are there photos of the Malawian school building etc that are free to use? I'm interested in raising the profile of things in Malawi to be comparable with the UK. Feel free to ignore. Victuallers (talk) 14:37, 24 December 2025 (UTC)

Hey @Victuallers! I'm not sure if there are pictures however you could check Wikimedia Commons Wikiediter2029 (talk) 08:20, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
Oh I'm sure there are none. I'm suggesting that UK schools who partner Malawian schools in real life, also offer equal billing virtually and on Wikipedia. Why should a UK school kid be able to see their town ,their school and the alumni of both on Wikipedia... while the school kid in Malawi looks at the internet in vain to try and see people like themselves and places like they live in. I'm hoping that taking photos during a partnership and publishing them in their UK newspaper with their school's copyright is a situation that could be improved. Those pics and stuff should be freely licensed IMO Victuallers (talk) 23:01, 25 December 2025 (UTC)
