Good article nominations RfC

Hi Z. Patterson,

There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.

By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.

Thank you for your contributions to the good articles project, and I look forward to your input! (in solidarity), JacobTheRox(talk|contributions) 16:03, 11 August 2026 (UTC)

Draft:Nimu Spacecat

Z. Patterson, could you explain, in your words, and in detail, why the draft is not suitable for the English Wikipedia yet? It is because most of the references are in Spanish?! Infobae, La Tercera and El Mercurio are reputable press media, therefore, reliable sources. The rest are just references for factual information like subscribers. regarding the reliable sources provided, I strongly believe the article complies the verifiability policy, and I believe the person is enough notable, by the provided sources like Infobae, La Tercera and El Mercurio. Regards. Amitie 10g (talk) 04:41, 14 August 2026 (UTC)

@Amitie 10g: Look at Draft:Nimu Spacecat#Carreer. All statements about living people that could be challenged need to be cited. Either find citations that support the prose listed in that section, or remove the information entirely. Z. Patterson (talk) 10:47, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
The language of the sources has nothing to do with why I declined it. Please see WP:BLP and WP:BLPCITE. Z. Patterson (talk) 11:02, 14 August 2026 (UTC)

Good article reassessment for Comic Fiesta

Comic Fiesta has been nominated for a good article reassessment. If you are interested in the discussion, please participate by adding your comments to the reassessment page. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status may be removed from the article. Dclemens1971 (talk) 20:40, 14 August 2026 (UTC)
