Vattavilakathu Johnson Thankappan is a communist politician from Kerala.[1]
He was born on 20 April 1934 at Aralummoodu to Johnson and Gnanamma.[2] He married Bella and has three sons and a daughter.[2] Before entering politics he had worked as a clerk in the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation.[3] He is known for playing a crucial role during the implementation of decentralisation project in Kerala. He died on 9 March 2019.[4]
