Early life and education
Hoang has Vietnamese heritage and moved to the United States when she was four years old.[8] Hoang received[when?] a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from San Jose State University.
Career
She began writing professionally while working as a librarian at thd Huntington Beach Library in Southern California.[9]
