Vathsal Govind (born 2 January 2000) is an Indian cricketer who represents Kerala in domestic cricket.[1] He is a right-handed batsman and occasional left-arm leg break bowler.[2]
Vathsal was born on 2 January 2000 in Delhi[1] to Govind Kanakan and Ruma Govind Sharma. He started playing cricket at the age of five. With limited opportunities to train at the academies he joined in Delhi, his mother set up a cricket academy in 2011. In 2015, Vathsal gained selection to the Delhi U-16 squad. A year later, Vathsal moved to Kerala for professional and personal reasons.[3] As of 2018, he is a degree student at Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur.[4]
