The Bahamas requires its residents to register their motor vehicles and display a vehicle registration plate.[1] Current plates are North American standard 6 in × 12 in (152 mm × 300 mm).[2] The configuration of the plates is two letters followed by four numbers. At the bottom of the plate is the flag of the Bahamas.[3]

The text of the plates varies by island, with each island or group issuing their own plates.[4]
