Verkhnekhavsky District

Verkhnekhavsky District (Russian: Верхнеха́вский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,253 square kilometers (484 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Verkhnyaya Khava.[1] Population: 23,058 (2021 census);[5] 25,156 (2010 census);[2] 26,656 (2002 census);[6] 30,896 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Verkhnyaya Khava accounts for 31.9% of the district's total population.[5]
