Verónica Saladín

Saladín represented the Dominican Republic at the 2011 Pan American Games held in Guadalajara, Mexico. She finished in 4th place in the women's +75 kg event. She also competed in the women's +75 kg event at the 2011 World Weightlifting Championships held in Paris, France.^[5]

Saladín won the bronze medal in the women's +75 kg Snatch event at the 2014 Pan American Weightlifting Championships held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She competed in the women's +75 kg event at the 2015 Pan American Games held in Toronto, Canada where she did not register a result in the Clean & Jerk.^[6] She won the gold medal in the women's +90 kg Snatch event at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games held in Barranquilla, Colombia.^[1] She also won the silver medal in the women's +90 kg Clean & Jerk event.^[7]

In 2018, Saladín competed in the women's +87 kg event at the World Weightlifting Championships in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.^[8] A year later, she competed in the same event at the 2019 World Weightlifting Championships held in Pattaya, Thailand.^[9]

In 2019, Saladín won the silver medal in her event at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships held in Guatemala City, Guatemala.^[10][11] She previously also won the silver medal in her event at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships in 2017 and 2018.^[12] She won the silver medal in the women's +87 kg event at the 2019 Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru.^[3][4]

Saladín represented the Dominican Republic at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.^[13] She finished in 7th place in the women's +87 kg event.^[14]

Saladín won the bronze medal in the women's +87 kg Snatch event at the 2022 Pan American Weightlifting Championships held in Bogotá, Colombia.^[15]
