Wheatland is a census-designated place (CDP) in Cass County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 92 as of the 2020 census,[3] and was estimated at 44 in 2025.[4]

2020 census
As of the 2020 census, there were 92 people, 36 households, and 30 families residing in the CDP.[13] The population density was 22.93 inhabitants per square mile (8.9/km2). There were 36 housing units at an average density of 8.97 per square mile (3.5/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.57% White, 0.00% African American, 1.09% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.09% from some other races and 3.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino people of any race were 6.52% of the population.[14]
2010 census
As of the 2010 census, there were 68 people, 30 households, and 21 families residing in the CDP.[15] The population density was 16.95 inhabitants per square mile (6.5/km2). There were 33 housing units at an average density of 8.23 per square mile (3.2/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.53% White and 1.47% Native American.
2000 census
As of the 2000 census, there were 60 people, 22 households, and 17 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 15.02 inhabitants per square mile (5.8/km2). There were 28 housing units at an average density of 7.01 per square mile (2.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.00% White.
There were 22 households, out of 45.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.2% were married couples living together, 13.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.2% were non-families. 18.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.73 and the average family size was 3.11.
In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 33.3% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 21.7% from 25 to 44, 28.3% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 years of age or older.
