I propose redirecting to Spore (2008 video game) because the article fails WP:NBIO, the person has not received independent significant coverage in multiple sources. The book, Earth Primer, seems notable (reviews in Wired, Stuff.tv, Common Sense Media) but I don't think he writing the book and co-designing Spore meets requirements in WP:CREATIVE. • Merge selectively as suggested and as reasonable in these circumstances. In particular, the current article relies solely on one interview (a primary source) to support the position that he's involved with the academic side of gaming (per WP:PROF). Please ping me if you add more. Bearian (talk) 12:01, 18 June 2026 (UTC)

* Redirect for sure. He is owned by his game it seems. Yesterday, all my dreams... (talk) 10:45, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

  • Keep as passing AUTHOR, for example . Nom found even more. Unclear what would be the case for merge or redirect. gidonb (talk) 08:45, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

  • Comment: Gidonb, I stated very clearly, as did two other editors, why this should be merged or redirected. I also gave you rubrics that you could have followed. Wired is not a reliable source. I'm unfamiliar with Stuff.tv. Bearian (talk) 06:48, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
You spoke about PROF but he is notable under AUTHOR. This is a partial list of sources. There is more, including sources that the nominator had found. It's unclear why this person was nominated, why this gained any support, and why such support is not reviewed. gidonb (talk) 10:10, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
Keep - Criteria 3 of WP:AUTHOR feels like its been met here, with the WP:SIGCOV analysis [1] [2], alongside the Wired source [3] and we've got three solid reliable sources on his body of work, not even including Spore (which he was a major contributor on, and would qualify under the "played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work" part of AUTHOR).
I'm not really sure where Bearian got the assertation that Wired is not reliable, see its listing here Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources/8, where it is considered generally reliable for science and technology, which I believe Earth: A Primer would fall under. This nomination was never well thought through. People just said things that did not hold water. That is why it collapsed. gidonb (talk) 21:43, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
