- Proposed merge of CCOM and AZCOM into Midwestern University
I propose merging Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM) into Midwestern University.
Redundancy (WP:CONTENTFORK). All three articles cover substantially the same material.
Notability (WP:NORG). AZCOM and CCOM exist as sister branch campuses, without independent notability.
Quality. The children and parent articles have a number of gaps I intended to address by filling out the parent (no admissions/selectivity data, no COMLEX or match/residency outcomes) and introduce errors (CCOM gives both 156 and 105 acres; AZCOM gives both 135 and 156).
Consistency. Midwestern comprises over ten health-professions programs; only the two medical schools have standalone articles. The dental, optometry, pharmacy, and veterinary colleges are already handled as sections of the parent, as these two should be.
Proposed outcome. Merge both into Midwestern University as subsections under Academics, preserving any sourced, non-duplicative content (e.g. CCOM's Littlejohn-era history), then redirect the titles. Primed Mover (talk) 18:58, 30 May 2026 (UTC)
