The result was no consensus. It is unclear from this discussion what the proposer, Red0ctober22, even wants us to do. We have only one other opinion, which does not yield actionable consensus. Sandstein 09:07, 7 June 2026 (UTC)

Note: This also proposes merging to American League Division Series as well
Please leave comments in the master discussion here. Red0ctober22 (talk) 03:27, 12 May 2026 (UTC)

- Convert to a disambiguation page and merge content. The DAB would point to American League Division Series and National League Division Series, along with other possible entries outside of MLB. The content in this article can be selectively merged to the ALDS and NLDS articles and/or Major League Baseball postseason. there is no need for this WP:CONTENTFORK. - There is a proposal in the master discussion to do the reverse and instead make one united Division Series page by merging the ALDS and NLDS pages into here (same would go for the LCS page). Is this something you would support? Red0ctober22 (talk) 22:26, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- This would also be fine. My biggest concern is that the same content is currently included in several articles, and both my suggestion or the one brought up in the Wikiproject would address that. Frank Anchor 21:35, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
- I think I would have to lean more toward uniting the page together, as it would be less upkeep. The Wild Card Series page was never split out by league and seems to function fine being put together like that. Red0ctober22 (talk) 23:01, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

- Comment: Editors commenting at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Baseball § Sorting & cleaning postseason pages found consensus to merge there. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/League Championship Series is related to this merge. The article American League Division Series seems to be included in the merge proposal but I don't see a banner on the article or discussion on its talk page. At the various discussions, I don't see an outright objection, and one editor describes the mergers as "uncontroversial". I believe Red0ctober22 has already begun; Red0ctober22, would you mind leaving a message or banner at "American League Division Series"? After that, I think all 3 discussions can be closed. - So you are correct that consensus has been reached, and I have already added closure requests on all these discussions. To explain the absence of the banner in the ALDS page, it is because I was originally proposing to get rid of the general Division Series page and then merge the information into the NLDS and ALDS pages. Since I could only select one target page to merge it to for the discussion, I just randomly chose the National League Division Series instead of the American League one. However, the editors in the aforementioned master discussion sided more with taking information from the NLDS and ALDS pages and combining it together for the general Division Series page, which I was open to as well, and that was the course of action we agreed to take on.
- As you mentioned, since this was largely uncontroversial and a consensus was quickly reached, I already performed the post-merging actions needed for both the DS and LCS pages, so it is just a matter of getting an uninvolved editor to close these discussions and then I can turn the ALDS and NLDS pages into redirects.
