The result was redirect to American Drum Manufacturing Company without prejudice against selective merge. Clear consensus against retention as a standalone page, but I don't think the arguments for deletion would necessarily hold up at RfD, leaving us with a viable, cheap ATD. Permastub (for 22 years) on a subject who made drums and started a company that made drums. At best, merge to the company. BD2412 T 00:05, 1 September 2026 (UTC)

- Keep: He has a fairly important career as a percussionist outside of his timpani designing. See his entry in Percussionists: A Biographical Dictionary (page 235) and the Percussive Notes article "Walter Light - The End of an Era" for in-depth information about him. Additionally, most percussion reference books at least mention how important he was to timpani design. I know you said there could be a merge, but there is also no harm in a sourced stub. Why? - Delete I'm unable to find any sources (the one presented above doesn't seem to be the same person), and no others have surfaced in this discussion. Delete for lack of sourcing, notability not shown. Oaktree b (talk) 14:14, 8 September 2026 (UTC)
- Is this vote considering my two sources listed above? Why? I Ask (talk) 14:43, 8 September 2026 (UTC)

- Delete - for lack of significant coverage. I did my own search as required, and found nothing. Ping me if you add more. Bearian (talk) 03:45, 21 September 2026 (UTC)
- At the very least, a redirect to American Drum Manufacturing Company would be acceptable. Nearly every college and professional ensemble has a set of the Walter Lights. Why? I Ask (talk) 05:13, 21 September 2026 (UTC)
- Merge to American Drum Manufacturing Company which he founded. The links to the two sources mentioned above. The first one is written like a tribute to him and the second is somewhat short. I didn't find anything more. Kelob2678 (talk) 21:25, 22 September 2026 (UTC)
