Welcome to the New York Public Library WikiProject on the English Wikipedia! This project is intended to facilitate the sharing of resources from the New York Public Library with the Wikimedia community. NYPL’s mission to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge and strengthen our communities aligns closely with Wikipedia’s goal to provide “free access to the sum of all human knowledge.” NYPL houses a collection of over 65 million items, which have been organized into more than 100 major topic areas. The distribution of this broad range of information will impact topics throughout Wikipedia.
