Sometimes in Articles for Deletion discussions, great benefit can come from abstaining out of the conversation and allowing another editor's enthusiasm for a topic to reign. Simply say, "Oh, well" and watch what develops. Sometimes enthusiastic editors can research and find wonderful information to be included in this encyclopedia that may never have been found had not their enthusiasm been allowed to bloom.
