This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Aviation. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Aviation|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Aviation. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

- Not notable in its own right? WP:NBOOK has a fairly low standard for notability - just two pieces of SIGCOV coverage of any form. I've provided that below (and there's a lot more online). DeleteKeep : WP:OSE is not a valid reason for deletion. It is obvious that this book meets WP:NBOOK, given the numerous articles (, for just a few). Now, I am aware that per WP:PAGEDECIDE there is an argument to merge, even if it qualifies for notability. However, the current article is missing a lot of possible detail. There is much more than one sentence to say about its reception (e.g. dismal sales, poor reviews, and occasional defences of Joyce). Equally, the article could do with some more detail of how Joyce defended himself from various allegations using the book. Those together are, in my opinion, enough to justify a standalone article. Propose merging into Strategic Airlift Capability: essentially duplicate articles on the exact same topic, with a large overlap in content. - This department although works under Airports Authority of India, but is a separate full fledged office department.
- This is engaged in installation of all the installations of major Communication, and Navigational aids units in India. Further calibration of all the units, initial stage as well as routine calibration on periodic basis, as per International Civil Aviation Organization guidelines.
- It is housed in the beautiful heritage building of India's oldest airport - Safdarjung Airport in the city heart, adjacent to the airport itself.
- This is a major office concerned with installation of air traffic facilities, so it deserved a notability here at Wikipedia. आशीष भटनागर (talk) 10:19, 14 September 2026 (UTC)

- Comment, आशीष भटनागर, I have no doubt it's an organisation in a heritage building doing good work, but what we need, in order to keep this wikipedia article, are books, newspaper reports, and similar good sources talking about the unit and or its building. The generic name makes it very hard to do a sensible search. Would you, with local knowledge, be able to suggest some good sources? That would be the best way to preserve the article.
