Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Norway
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion and merging of articles related to Norway. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Norway|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Norway. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

Not sure how he could pass WP:N. All of the sources I could find are only references to his cartoons and some minor coverage of him leaving The Spectator in 2024. The current article includes a dead link to his website and a link to his political cartoons in The Times, who he works for. Nighfidelity (talk) 13:30, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

- Comment: he passes WP:NBIO with the Fritt Ord Award, and has coverage, but the current version of the article is unacceptable. Geschichte (talk) 05:48, 4 July 2026 (UTC)

Fails GNG and WP:SPORTCRIT. Only played 627 minutes in Norway's highest league. Geschichte (talk) 18:24, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

- Comment - where is the WP:BEFORE? Given that you created the AFDs for this article and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glenn Walker (footballer, born 1998), I suggest there is none. Beyond that, what does the minutes of play have to do with notability? Absolutely nothing. GiantSnowman 19:05, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Fails GNG and WP:SPORTCRIT. Only played 1 minute in Norway's highest league. Seems like a waste of time to deprod. Geschichte (talk) 18:23, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

- Delete – This is not worth of career. The second reference lacks URL either, so I can't tell whether or not it contains SIGCOV. ⋆。˚꒰ঌ Clara A. Djalim ໒꒱˚。⋆ 11:26, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

Fairly promotional, not finding any WP:SIGCOV, just passing mentions of the subject. Mariamnei ✦ reach out 🕊️ 11:25, 25 June 2026 (UTC)

- Keep meets WP:GNG. There is coverage in Norwegian sources like , , . Adria Salazar (talk) 07:34, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
- Delete Links provided by Adria Salazar do not seem to be about the subject. It seems unlikely at this time that references can be found to bring the article up to notability standards at this time. Royal Autumn Crest (talk) 11:44, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
- Keep. Just to clarify, from my checks of Adria Salazar's sources, Source 1 is fully about the subject (but under her maiden name Kostenko). Source 2 appears to have at least some coverage, though it's paywalled and so the section which includes coverage is partially cut off from my view. Source 3 is a glancing mention. The subject is also discussed by Dubai Fashion Week, and has a paragraph in this Vanity Fair Italy article. From this, I think she narrowly squeaks past WP:BASIC (source 2 and the two articles I found don't have a ton of depth but they aren't trivial either, so can be aggregated together under Bullet Point 1). She's also listed on here and here (a UNESCO and a Civil20 report) as a Featured Participant and as founder of something called "The Serena Foundation", which upon a deeper analysis may also provide sufficient coverage.
