@BlueStaticHorse and Max: I deeply apologize, but this newsletter was not yet ready to be sent out. It is very incomplete and contains inaccuracies. Additionally, a message linking to the newsletter should be sent out, not a copy of the newsletter itself as this takes up a large amount of space on people's talk pages and we cannot change it afterwards. Furthermore, this is Quarter 3, not Quarter 1 as the title states.
Is there any chance this can be replaced with a message like "Apologies, but the Quarter 3 issue of the WikiProject Amusement Parks news letter was sent out prematurely. It will be posted here after completion later today." If there's no fast way to do this in an automated manner, may I replace the messages manually?
Apologies BlueStaticHorse, I should have communicated better here for exactly when and how to send this out. I appreciate the initiative but in this instance we need to wait a bit. Plighting Engineerd (talk) 15:06, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Max has a bot that can make corrections to mass message deliveries without issuing duplicate notifications to people, so if the changes are minor enough, that might be the best option. If the errors are more significant, maybe it could be temporarily retracted and sent out again? —TechnoSquirrel69 (talk) 15:10, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Yes, it would be significant changes. Again, I really apologize for this. It would be great if it could be either retracted or replaced with a temporary apology message until it is completed tonight. Instead of sending out the whole newsletter page, it would be a short message summarizing and linking to the newsletter once the newsletter is complete. The request was marked as priority, and everything in the request looked fine, so I sent it as requested. I'll remove it shortly, but please make sure everything is checked properly before submitting a request next time. When a request comes in looking complete and ready to send, there's not really a reason for us to assume that something is wrong with it. cc @BlueStaticHorse Max (talk) 15:22, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
@Max: This was absolutely a mistake on our end. There's no expectation that you would have caught the error, you sent it out exactly as requested - completely our error. I really appreciate your responsiveness and working with us to fix the error we made. We will absolutely work to make sure everything is confirmed by everyone involved on our side to ensure errors like this are prevented in the future. I am so sorry for the inconvenience and grateful for your help. Plighting Engineerd (talk) 15:30, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
To clarify, the details regarding how it should have been properly sent out were to inform BlueStaticHorse, not you - sorry if that was unclear! Plighting Engineerd (talk) 15:31, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
No problem, mistakes happen. I've removed the message from all the talk pages. Max (talk) 15:42, 30 September 2026 (UTC)
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! I will post a new request later today when it's been finished and fully double-checked by multiple people on our end. Very grateful! Plighting Engineerd (talk) 15:49, 30 September 2026 (UTC)

Request for mass message delivery: October 12, 2026

Can someone help me send a message to the members of WikiProject Schools? There is: Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Participants list and Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Message list. WP:WPSCH Coordinator @Kudpung recommended I do this.

The message concerns a major RfC currently being discussed at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy) § RfC: Geographic disambiguation of school article titles in the United States. I would appreciate the help. Issac I Navarro (talk) 02:26, 13 October 2026 (UTC)

I did not recommend this at all. I am a coord of the WP:WPSCH project and a Mass Message Sender, and I've already told Issac I Navarro I'll do it. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:29, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
@Kudpung, my sincerest apologies. I think I may be out of my league here. Your instructions are rather clear, but I looked at the infobox and was unable to locate the source you were referring to. I also took a look at the source for the MassMessage link, and I could not find it. I can find the Participants list and the Message list. Could you provide the exact title or link to the delivery list you want me to update? I don't want to alter the wrong page.
You also mentioned that I would need to update the list with the newer members, and I will gladly spend my time doing that. I'm more then happy doing so, however I'm really unsure how to proceed, as I've never done anything like this on Wikipedia before. Issac I Navarro (talk) 02:39, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
@Issac I Navarro. Please see the infobox/index at WP:WPSCH main page. I've now told you four times that I will take care of the messaging if you prepare the list. I practically built that project and the navigation is fine. It will help you find your way around the project when you update the school articles on it after your RfC. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:44, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
Thank you, I will prepare the list, to be clear you want me to add all missing members from Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Participants list to the Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools/Message list? Do I understand what you are asking? I am very confused. Issac I Navarro (talk) 02:48, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
Once again I deeply apologies, if I am making you any bit frustrated. You are being very clear. I am sure it is a me issue. You are asking for me Compare the two lists? and then Add the newer members from the participants list to the message list, avoiding duplicates. I hope I am understanding. Issac I Navarro (talk) 02:52, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
That kind of operation is done in three seconds with regex. Regex is useful but we are all volunteers and no one can be forced or expected to know about such tools. I only know about it from my work 25 years ago on computational linguistics. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:17, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
Your mentioning Regex was the first time I ever heard of it. I had to do a quick read of Regular expression to get the idea of what you were talking about. I don't work with computers at all. Additionally, I'm not all that technologically savvy.
Any use of the source code on Wikipedia has been very new to me. I've been trying to pick it up and learn as I grow as an editor. All I know is what I've picked up over the past two years from tips other editors have taught and shown me. Issac I Navarro (talk) 05:23, 13 October 2026 (UTC)
