"Top 10 in USA" sourcing
There has been a consensus at a few places to refrain from using sources containing "Top 10 Best Places in USA" and other "best of" rankings on city articles. Should this include US county articles as well? Your input at Talk:Nassau County, New York#"Top 10 in USA" sources would be appreciated. --Magnolia677 (talk) 17:24, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
Pasco County, Florida
Your input at Talk:Pasco County, Florida#Education edition would be appreciated. The article seems a bit bloated, and there is a dispute about whether individual schools in the county should be added. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:36, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas
Project members are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to $2680 in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:11, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Notable people
At Harrison County, West Virginia, an editor has added a notable person to the county article, rather than to the two cities within the county where the person lived.
The editor has explained that:
- WikiProject U.S. counties only offers "suggestion"
- Harrison County is where he "built his career".
- "numerous people" are also listed (where the city of birth is known)
Your input at Talk:Harrison County, West Virginia#Notable people criteria would be appreciated. Magnolia677 (talk) 14:21, 3 September 2026 (UTC)
