William Bennet (after 1553 – February 1609), of Marlborough, Wiltshire, was an English politician.

He was educated at John Roysse's Free School in Abingdon, (now Abingdon School).[1] He was later a student of Gray's Inn.[2]

Career

William Bennet was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Ripon in 1593.[2]

He was a co-founder of Pembroke College, Oxford.[3]
