Xiphonectes (from Ancient Greek ξίφος (xíphos), meaning "sword", and νήκτης (nḗktēs), meaning "swimmer") is a genus of crabs within the family Portunidae.[1] Members of this genus are found distributed in the Indian and Pacific Ocean.[2]
