Yayladere (Kurdish: Xolxol, Armenian: Խոլխոլ, romanized: Kholkhol)[1] is a town and seat of Yayladere District of Bingöl Province in Turkey.[2] The mayor is Sabri Akyürek (CHP).[3]

The town is populated by Kurds of the Şadiyan tribe and had a population of 1,020 in 2021.[4][5][6]

Neighborhoods

The town is divided into the neighborhoods of Akçadamlar, Conak, Haktanır, Hasköy, Merkez and Yolgüden.[2]

History

It had previously been a sanjak (district) of the Vilayet of Erzurum.[7]
