Yekaterinovsky District

Yekaterinovsky District (Russian: Екатериновский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,000 square kilometers (1,200 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Yekaterinovka.[2] Population: 19,798 (2010 Census);[3] 21,576 (2002 census);[8] 23,649 (1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Yekaterinovka in 2010 accounted for 32.1% of the district's total population.[3]
