Yermishinsky District

District in Ryazan Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yermishinsky District (Russian: Ермиши́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,342 square kilometers (518 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Yermish.[2] Population: 8,879 (2010 Census);[3] 10,926(2002 census);[7] 13,288(1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Yermish accounts for 48.9% of the district's total population.[3]
