Yershovsky District

District in Saratov Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yershovsky District (Russian: Ершовский райо́н, romanized: Yershovskiy raion) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the eastern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,300 square kilometers (1,700 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Yershov.[2] Population: 41,609 (2010 Census);[3] 50,337(2002 census);[7] 53,333(1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Yershov accounts for 51.5% of the district's total population.[3]
