Career
She is a former World Championships bronze medallist.[4] In 2015, she was named to Canada's team at the 2015 Pan American Games to be held in Toronto.[5]
Yong competed at the 2019 Pan American Games losing in the quarter-finals.
In July 2021, Yong was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team.[6][7] At the 2020 Summer Olympics, she placed joint eleventh in the women's <49kg division.[1]
