Yvon Berland

Yvon Berland was born on February 5, 1951.^[1] He received his PhD in Medical Studies in 1979.^[1]

He taught nephrology at the University of the Mediterranean.^[2] He served as President of the stade marseillais université club from 1995 to 2004.^[2] He was elected its President in 2004, and re-elected in 2009.^[2] He served as Vice-President of the Conférence des Présidents d'Université from December 2010 to December 2012.^[1] Since June 2011, he has served as President of the Cancéropôle PACA.^[2] Since 2012, he has served as the first President of Aix-Marseille University.^[1][3]

He is an officer of the Ordre des Palmes Académiques, the National Order of Merit and the Legion of Honour.^[1][2]
