Zachary Ryan Short (born May 29, 1995) is an American professional baseball infielder in the Washington Nationals organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers, New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and Houston Astros.

Short attended Kingston High School in Kingston, New York, At Kingston High School, Short co-captained the varsity baseball team to the 2012 New York State Class AA championship, the first in the school’s history.

Short went to Sacred Heart University, where he played college baseball for the Sacred Heart Pioneers. In 2015, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Chatham Anglers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[1]
