Zakot (pronounced [zaˈkoːt]; German: Sakot[3][4]) is a former settlement in the Municipality of Brežice in eastern Slovenia, close to the border with Croatia. It is now part of the town of Brežice. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.[5]
Zakot is a linear settlement north of the road from Brežice to Bizeljsko.[1][2]
