Zee Dyasi

Dyasi was born and raised in the Cape Town, South Africa. She began singing in school later and church choirs pursuing music more formally through performances at local events and collaborations.^[3] She was also known as a vocal coach amongst her peers.^[4][5]

Zee Dyasi began gaining public attention after competing on Idols South Africa in 2022, where she placed as a Top 5 finalist. Following her appearance on the show, she focused on developing her career as an independent recording artist.^[3][6]

Based in Cape Town, Dyasi has since released original music and performed live while building a profile within South Africa's contemporary R&B and neo-soul scene. Her post-television work has emphasized original songwriting and a sound rooted in modern R&B and soul, with influences from neo-soul traditions. She continues to release music independently and perform across South Africa. ^[7]
