Zelenoborsky (Russian: Зеленобо́рский) is an urban locality (an urban-type settlement) in Kandalakshsky District of Murmansk Oblast, Russia, located directly west of the Kola Peninsula on the lower Kovda River, 235 kilometers (146 mi) south of Murmansk. Population: 6,560 (2010 census);[4] 7,640 (2002 census);[5] 9,643 (1989 Soviet census).[6]
It was founded as a work settlement around 1951.
