Zgornji Tuhinj (pronounced [ˈzɡoːɾnji tuˈxiːnj]; German: Obertuchein[2]) is a village in the Tuhinj Valley in the Municipality of Kamnik in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It lies above the central part of the upper Tuhinj Valley.

The settlement was first mentioned in documents dating 1213.[3] Zgornji Tuhinj was attested in historical sources as Tüchein in 1403, Tuchen in 1420, and Duchein in 1444, among other spellings.[4]
