Zion Young (born March 18, 2004) is an American professional football linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans and Missouri Tigers and was selected by the Ravens in the second round of the 2026 NFL draft.
Young attended Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He committed to Michigan State University to play college football.[1]
College career
Young played at Michigan State from 2022 to 2023. On October 29th, 2022, Young was involved in a post game altercation with a Michigan Wolverines player.[2] Young was charged with misdemeanor assault, and entered into a pre-plea diversion program in 2023 to work toward his charge being dropped.[3] In two years at Michigan State, he started 11 of 20 games, recording 47 tackles and 2.5 sacks.[4] After the 2023 season, Young transferred to the University of Missouri.[5][6] In his first year at Missouri in 2024 he started all 13 games and had 42 tackles and 2.5 sacks.[7][8] He returned to Missouri for his senior season in 2025.[9] On December 13, 2025, Young was arrested, and later charged, for driving while intoxicated and speeding.[10]
