Luis Alberto Giussepe Gagliardi Urrutia es un herpetólogo peruano. Tiene una larga trayectoria en el estudio de la biodiversidad, sistemática y taxonomía de anfibios y reptiles. Ha participado como coordinador y especialista en numerosas expediciones científicas a la Amazonia peruana desde 2001. Fue Investigador del PIBA del Instituto de Investigaciones de la Amazonía Peruana entre 2012 y 2016. Egresado de Bachiller en Ciencias Biológicas en 2002 y titulado en Biología en 2010 por la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana. Es Doctor en Zoología por la Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (Brasil).
