Han Seung-yeon (hangul: 한승연; Seúl, 24 de julio de 1988), conocida por su nombre monónimo Seungyeon, es una cantante y actriz surcoreana. Es más conocida por ser la vocalista principal del grupo femenino surcoreano Kara y por su personaje en Age of Youth.
Seungyeon nació el 24 de julio de 1988, en Seúl, Corea del Sur.[1] Debutó como actriz infantil en una pequeña parte de Dear Ends (1993), Summer Showers (1995) y Un deseo en las estrellas (1997).[2][3] Más tarde dejó Corea para estudiar en el Tenafly High School en Nueva Jersey, Estados Unidos. Aun así, se retiró del instituto a mitad de curso para seguir su carrera de canto.[4] Después de regresar a Corea del Sur, debutó como miembro del grupo Kara el 29 de marzo de 2007. Durante su tiempo con el grupo, pasó un examen de cualificación del instituto, la Prueba de Capacidad Escolástica Universitaria, y fue aceptada en la Universidad de Kyung Hee, para estudiar teatro y cine.
